Photoshop Scripting

Postby kipper on Tue Jun 14, 2005 6:07 pm

Has anybody delved into the world of Photoshop Scripting. I got into it today and it looks quite nifty. My first attempt was to use VB, not the beer. However this seems to require that you either create a VB Application using VB.Net (or similar) or use the VBA scripting engine either via say MS Word and then running the VBA engine there or use the Windows Scripting Host. I was a bit disappointed that you couldn't run the script from within Photoshop. Then again I could be wrong and there might be a way, I just haven't figured it out yet. The other option is to use Javascript and that can be run from the Files->Scripts section in Photoshop. So if any of you have started playing with this, could you let me know.

Darryl

Didn't even know you could do this. I'm a whiz at VB, VB.NET (and their idiot cousin VBA) since that's what I get paid to do in my day job  I'll have to look into this.
