We was robbed :(A few nights ago we went out for dinner to celebrate my wife finishing her uni degree and when we came home we discovered all her jewlery was missing.
Nothing much else was taken and I'm astounded that my camera wasn't because it was just sitting on the floor in its bag ready to rock and roll. But my wife lost her jewlery which is a shame because she had some special stuff in there. A bracelet that I bought her a few weeks ago was taken but with the receipt the jeweller can order the same one back in. Just thought I'd share this. We now have locks on all the windows, a sensor light, and a wireless alarm with motion sensors, so I feel a lot safer in here now. Its amazing how hollow and violated it makes you feel. Regards, Owen.
Sorry to read your sad news Owen. Were u insured? I know that jewellery has a lot of sentimental/irreplacable value...at least your camera is safe. Good luck with insurance/retrieval!!

Re: We was robbed :(
Having been through the same experience in the past, I can empathise with you. In addition to keeping receipts for purchases like jewelery, I now photograph them. The combination of receipt plus photograph makes it easier for the insurance company and for you when it comes to replacing stolen items. Hope you can recover/replace your stuff. And you were lucky about your camera. TFF (Trevor)

I remember many years ago while living in Brisbane, my car was stolen..
Apparently they couldn't get it started (it was a piece of @#$%).. so they rolled it down the hill and into a paddock.. I was so disappointed when the police told me they found it because I would have come out on top with the insurance money.. To make a long story short.. I remember when I was sitting in the drivers seat in the paddock how violated I felt... it was a really horrible but strange feeling. Of course the car had it's quarks, I could get it started without any issues Geoff http://www.gleff.com
