Urgent help needed

Postby Oneputt on Mon Jun 20, 2005 5:14 pm

My D70 will not auto focus. It was working fine but now it will not AF with any lens unless I press the AE-L/AF-L button. If I just press the shutter half way nothing happens accept where in the display it shows the number of images left on the card it turns to r04.

All I can think is that I have inadvertently changed a setting, but I'm dammed if I know waht. Any suggestions?

NB it is set on AF not manual.

You could try a system reset and see if that fixes it.

Hi,

On your options menu there is something which allows you to change what your AE-L/AF-L button does....If you set that button to control AF then it will only use this button to focus.

You should be able to change the function of the button back to exposure lock through the menu.

hope that helps.
