Advice on Nikon repair

Postby lejazzcat on Thu Jul 07, 2005 4:09 am

Hi all ,

Where do you get your gears repaired when theyre no longer in warranty ? ie Maxwells

I live in Sydney, so someone local and cheaper than Maxwells would be best ...

Specifically ide need to get a AFS motor repaired
Any idea how much that will cost ?

As its the 17-35, is it worth getting the AF motor repaired?
The metering still works ...opinions?

So many ideas. So little time.

I figure they'd be the best option BD, but im wondering if any others are good and cheaper...there has to be .

To get an idea of what im in for,
Has anyone else had their AF stop working on the lens?
How much did it cost to get it repaired ? Where from?

TIA
