I can see why there investing into DSLR as they can make a big profit from lens lust! :wink:

That article also said that Nikon proposed to slash inventories :shock:

Yes, well I'll take one from those overstocked piles of 70-200VRs and D2xs. :lol:

I wonder what inventories they are referring to. Probably the entry level film bodies.

I'm looking forward to a clearance sale. :twisted:

In the early days of film cameras there was not the proliferation of models as there is today.

In my mind the D50 is too close to the D70s so Nikon will be watching sales and whichever leads will knock the other off their inventory. The same with the D2Hs and D2X - I know they fit into different categories but I do see an early demise of the D2Hs as the price points between it and the D2X is too close.

Anyway - that’s my 2 cents worth
