Software advice pleaseHi
im looking for a image viewer/sorter that can search a database of images via exif data, or that can preview histogram information in RGB channels+luminance, and show a thumbnail image as preview to editing . Would come in handy for speeding up workflow of large libraries, and high volume shoots of images that havent been edited etc. Anything out there ? Also any tips on what software the members are using for all stages of their workflow would be of great benefit to us all. At this time im using :- pictureproject- cardtransfers and collections nikoncapture4.2- raw, noise and levels/histogram adjustment adobephotoshop7.01- layers and filters So many ideas. So little time.

Nice Stubbsy - i think this is what im looking for TY! In review- I just installed Picasa but so far it seems to be a very entry level pic organiser/pic viewer/pic editor... the nikon software i already own already does this work far better. So many ideas. So little time.

PS - Stubbsy , i just searched the forum re: Imatch and discovered your exif search script - ur awesome mate !
Now what do i have to do to make it work with the evaluation copy?
( preferably in non programmer speak plz ) will it work ? So many ideas. So little time.

Ok - well Stubbsy's suggestiion has the searchable EXIF data part nailed.
So the other part i really need/want to find is the 'rgb histogram as thumbnail', image previewer. Does the latest version of the Camera raw plugin for PS Cs2 do it? Any other suggestions ? (or does Imatch do that too??) So many ideas. So little time.

I have just uploaded a newer version of this to PixSPot (link is here for simplicity) I'm also working on a matching simple search dialog (eg show me all the pics taken with lens xx and f stop yy) - although as you've no doubt discovered this is achievable in a bigger way with iMatch as is. Peter
