Hi everyone,
Just want to say hi from a new user.
A little about me:
I live down on the Mornington Penninsula, South of Melbourne
My photography interests lie mainly in wildlife and bird photography. I'm also very interested in Insect macro. Basically anything in the natural world that isn't touched by mankind.
I'd consider myself on the lower level of 'advanced amature'
My dream is to win the lotto and spend my whole life traveling around this big beautiful country taking photographs of everything it has to offer *sigh*. In reality I hardly have time to get out shooting once a week.
Here is a sample pic that I took close to where I live:
See you around on the forums
Paul

Welcome Paul, great shots. Hope you win Lotto and get to live your dream. Watch out for Kipper down in Victoria, he has similar interests and covets a 500 AFS

fozzie,
That's the reason why I don't have the 300VR as mentioned.
I dumped the ideas of the 300VR after I had a loan 500 AF-S from one of my friend few weeks ago and took it up to Nelson Bay for a weekend.
So one of the brand new Nikkor 500 AF-S/ F4 is soon leaving from my supplier, they have to do the order from Japan for me, so it will take awhile.

I was so looking forward to trying out your Nikon 300VR while in Sydney 5-10th August
The AF-S 500mm is an awesome lens. Just ask Kipper.
