Better Beamers (Not the car brand!)

For those interested in flash extenders you might want to consider this as an option. It seems widely used by a few of the bird/nature photographers on another forum that I use.

If your the DYI type you can make one for yourself using a $5 device from a bookshop called a Page Magnifier. The only thing that you need is a bracket to hold it into place and you are in business.

Yep, I know Arthur (Yeosca) said he made one for under $50 think around the $30 mark and it kind of looked like the BB.

I'd rather just stick with what everyone else uses. I'd rather not dick around with something that might lead to frustration in the field when it falls in front of the flash and casts a nice shadow across the subject. It might be great for subjects that obey commands but usually the ones that I shoot might pose and then never return again.
