Lets all hope weather will be great tomorrow night. I'd expect a great sunset from tomorrow's clouds, but not sure if I can capture a few before it is too late
Anyways, tripod~ how many do we have? This can be interesting if we end up with sooo many around... To those who are not yet confirmed on the list. You can still drop in by the meetup time (6:00pm), but we may wander off without you.
Matt, Can you make it before 6:15pm?
The best time i can make it tomorrow is 8pm. I hope you guys are still kicking by then. If not, I'm happy to meet up with the 8pm people and we can kick on.
Unfortunatly I CAN NOT check the forum tomorrow, only my email. (padey@hotmail.com) So if you could keep me in the loop regarding where to meet for the 8pm people. That would be great. Andrew
Canon make photocopiers and stick lenses on them....
i change my mind imnot shooting social anymore so i'm available to from 6pm
although i want to see this art thing at circular quay first
BTW I am bring my tripod and a spare base plate and spanner tool, so anyone that comes tripodless (or McTripod) can share with me). Given that they are sharing the use of it, they can also help lug the thing around
As I think I'm the only one with a McTripod I thank you for that offer Craig. Matt
LOL, I doubt your the only one with a McTripod, but you certainly coined the phrase, I have my own MC Tripod here as well, but my Baseplate for it, is connected to my SC-29 which hopefully is shooting a wedding elsewhere right now the McTripods make excellent flash stands I find.
Have a great time people. Looking foward to the results.
Peter

Tell her we hope she gets better, but if its contagious your better of with us, then at home catching whatever she has.
Thanks Craig - but no fear, it isn't contagious.
I shall be unaffected for the cricket season opener tomorrow! P
Patrick,
Not the proverbial headache I hope? g.

Gary, I think I missed that proverb at Sunday school (either that, or I am really, really, really dumb, neither of option I would necessarily discount) - please explain? P Oh, wait, I think I understand - women are generally pikers? But, she has a legit excuse this time.
My apologies to everyone by leaving early.
I had a family dinner going on and was running late already. As today was the moon festival for the Chinese people, so had to run home for the family. I hope you all still had a great time without me afterwards
Thanks to Yip for organising a good night, while I wasn't focused on shooting but rather socialising I had a great time, and only just got home. Looking forward to others shots which I'm sure will be posted soon enough. Sadly during the night shoot my grandmother passed away, but on a happier side I had visited her yesterday and said my goodbyes. Thanks for giving me something else to keep me occupied then being at home wallowing. Can't wait to see the photos!
Sorry to hear that Alpha_7. My condolences to you and your family.
Oh my craig you have my deepest condolences!
Thanks for organising the shoot Yi-P. Had a good time with great company as usual.
Thanks to all who came along. Hope you enjoyed the night as much as I did. Sorry to hear of your loss Craig - my deepest condolences.
Sorry to hear this Craig, let's just hope that she slipped away every so peacefully!

Ok, where did you guys get to. Darren and I were on Pyrmont Bridge getting a few shots and we turn around and you guys were gooooone.....
I guess you guys got your shots on the bridge on the way over to darling hbr. Anyway, we spent a few hours walking around Darling hbr, Cockle bay and convention centre. Here are 4 very different shots Here is a 100% crop to show the detail in the image Andrew

Craig,
It sounds to me as if this was an expected event. Nonetheless, its actual occurrence can be difficult to cope with, and there may be some difficult times ahead as you mive forward. Our thoughts are with you and your family in this time of sadness. g.

Craig, unfortunate to hear that and my sincerest condolences.
Andrew, the last three shots are fantastic. We headed slowly toward Circular Quay; the group did feel a little small. I think I netted my quota of touristy cliches that night and it was definitely valuable to meet up with some wiser members. I'll be posting some shots hopefully when I'm back on a real PC in Adelaide.
I'm sorry to hear that Craig. Best wishes to you and yours.
I'd been meaning to come along to this, but a combination of factors conspired against me. Maybe next time.
I’m sure your Grandma had a wonderful life Craig and she will be with you for many years to come.

Thanks all for coming to the event, it was very successful and fun outing night with you guys, specially that we got an interstate member to join us in this event. I hope you all had heaps of fun socialising and getting to know each other on this one.
Apart from being stopped by pedestrians each block we wander off by either saying "hey, whats going on with all these photographers?" , "whats the big event happening here?" , "are you guys papparazzi from xx paper?".. well, including a few random drop-in posing models...
