'Impaled' series of images

Postby marcotrov on Fri Oct 07, 2005 10:48 pm

A series of images I took on my last outing out bush in September. Composition changes are minor. I was exploring an idea and really testing the difference between 2 of my lenses the 80-200 F2.8 and my new 80-400VR(thanks to Birddog) in terms of sharpness contrast and colour rendition. Any ideas on which lens used for what image? Any comments would be appreciated.

my guess:

the first and second photo are with the 80-200 ?
the third and last are with the 80-400 VR ?

Cheers,

Actually Birddog,CD the first is the 80-400VR the rest are 80-200 F/2.8. I must admit the wind picked up quite markedly by the 3rd and 4th shots, but so much for the talk i've heard around that the 80-400VR ain't sharp. I find it quite sharp for what it is. Thanks for the responses.
