Hi,

just saw an online auction that may interest a few members here. There's an 80-400 and D70 body up for auction.

http://www.graysonline.com.au/catalogue ... _TYPE=NORM

Dont ask me what reconditioned means though!

cheers

Well nobody else bid on the 80-400 OK :D

The dealings I have had with grays has been good. As with any auction (Grays, ebay, ect) need to watch what the total final cost delivered will be.

I find thier postage charges are obscene and you do not end up with a bargin>>>

Hi,

I've bought a few things at Graysonline, with good results. However, know your prices before you start bidding. Don't forget to take into account that there is a 12.5% buyers premium, eg a $1000 bid on a D70 will end up costing you $1125, plus delivery!!

The bidding also tends to "heat up" in the last 30-60 minutes prior to auction closing.

Also note that these are reconditioned but they do come with a 12 month warranty. The auction is from Nikon, so likely Maxwell. Possibly ex-demo stock that has been cleaned and checked, but your guess is as good as mine.

As usual with these types of auctions, BB - buyer beware

Good luck if you bid.
