Photos of Egypt (Pyramids) Any Available?

Does anyone have a shot of the Pyramids of Egypt that they have taken themselves. My son is into the Egyptian theme at the moment and I was thinking if a quality shot was available to get it enlarged to poster size, frame it and gift it for Christmas to him.

If you have a shot and would like to licence it for one print (I wish to do the printing myself), please let me know and how much your price would be. A low res indicator shot might prove useful.

I'm not really wanting to get a mainstream print and would prefer one that hasn't been published to add to the uniqueness of the present.

Regards

Tony

Funny you ask, there's an artist (photographer) displaying his work at the hospital I work in and there are some egyptian pyramids there...now..how much did u want to pay? These are $900 unframed for 20"x30"...OUCH! Some of them do look good though. Pity u are in Brissy! If by chance you are interested at this price let me know and I will get you the photogs details. Cheers.

Thanks Geoff,

$900 isn't even on the same planet as what I'm hoping to pay. At those prices it's a good job he's displaying in a hospital........

Good luck to the photographer.

I know it doesn't conform with your stated criteria, but one of the most interesting photos that I've seen of the great pyramids is one taken from an orbiting satellite. IIRC I found it on a web site dedicated to satellite photos. I believe that it may also be copyright/licence free.

What struck me about the photo, was its "unusual" angle, being taken from directly above. It also showed reasonable clarity: the photo included the three main pyramids, the great sphinx. Of course it also showed the visitors' car park and individual tour buses were clearly seen.

May not meet your requirements as the quality may not be high, but I took some photos way back in 1991 of the pyramids but not with a digital - taken with a Nikon FE. They would have to be scanned an fixed up in Photoshop. Have a reasonable scanner (on an Epson RX510 printer).

They are of the Stepped Pyramid just out of Cairo and also at Giza - none from the Valley of the Kings etc.

Might not meet the standard that you want however.

You could have them for nothing s they are regular photos and I don't think anything special.

Thank you Steve and Mark....

I've actually got one from a Stock site. I think it will do the job just fine. A little off from where I started but it's of Tutenkamens Sargophegus (correct spreliing?).

Great colours and matched the theme well.

Thanks for all the help and interest.
