Two of these things is not like the others...

Guess which two are shot with the G lens and which with the Kit... No EXIF peaking!

Just to show that you can get good pictures from the G lens... just have to know its limitations

Yep!

What I am finding with the G lens is that is does the job perfectly well with a couple of conditions:

Stop it down a bit (not a huge amount is required)

and you cant use it in backlit situations, ie a dark crow in front of a bright blue sky (you get very obvious PF)

Sorry, I'm complaining again... keep in mind I am not any better, I sure as hell don't have any comparable shots, so rightfully I shouldn't be saying anything. ;)

The bokeh on the first one is very harsh. Like someone took a steel wool to the grass and scrubbed it out.

I like the sunset/sillouette of parliament house. And the little duckie! :)

Knowing what tool to use is important.
The pic's all all good but knowing when to use a sleg hammer and when to use a screw driver is key. You just have to look in my garage to see I am still working on that :(
You seem to have got it right my wife prays someday I will

According to Nikon Capture 4 Editor, there is no shooting data :)
On that note we all know what lense you used but could you put down the shooting data for each photo, plus the lense, filter (if any), flash (if any) for each of the photos. I think if you put down these things it helps the new people such as myself know what to try out.

Btw Onyx, even though the bokeh is very severe I think it really brings out the subject.

Love the colors on the 4th one. Everytime I go to take photos of the roses in the garden the wind picks up and I get blurry photos :(
