Deer Hunter

Dear readers
Our house backs onto a creek and reserve. We have about 12 deer who daily pass by our creek early in the morn and graze in a grass meadow. I have seen some fantastic photo opps.
The problem is that deer are so 'sound' and 'movement' sensitive that if I even open my back door too loudly, they disappear.
I would dearly like to shoot all of them with my D70 and 70-200 2.8. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Peter Mc PS: Do I have to wear Khaki and Camoflage and pretend I was in Nam
