Battery Problem

I just had my D70 fixed after it had The BGLOD problem and am now finding that the battery appears to go flat after only taking 2 or 3 shots. If I remove it from the camera then put it back in it will sometimes show full again but still only allows me to take another few shots before showing empty again, or, it will still show empty and not allow me to take any more shots.
I have 3 batteries and have tried them all it happens with each of them so it seems to be the camera that is at fault rather than being a faulty battery.
Does anyone have any idea as to what may be causing this or how to fix it.

It would appear that if you have tried three batteries with the same result that it must be a camera problem. Contact the repairer
ASAP.

Possibly your charger is faulty, or maybe the camera isn't detecting the battery voltage properly. If the camera was draining a fully charged battery this quickly, something would be getting very hot!

I have 2 chargers and have recharged on each of them so it must be the camera.
I was just curious to see if anyone else has had this problem and knew of an easy fix.
The repairer is over 1,000 miles away. Postage & ins. $36 each way is getting expensive and the camera is now out of warranty....

Tontoe - seeing as you have just had the unit repaired for the dreaded BLOG I would be on the phone to the repairer - it would seem that they have a responsibility of care and should have checked the camera properly before returning it to you. Also, there must be a warranty from them on the repair just carried out.

I plan to be doing exactly that but they aren't open on the weekends unfortunately.
