I want to position a number of photos, say 10 and print them out on A3 Ep1800. Is there a feature in Photoshop to help position these photos? If so, how do I find it?

Any help appreciated.

I don't know whether PS can do this, but I'm sure someone here will.

You can download a trial version of Qimage which will allow you to do this. It is also excellent at resizing, and if you are doing a lot of printing, I would recommend it.

In my workflow, I use PS for image editing, but I always print from Qimage.

there is, I think its under automate, not sure but I think its called package printing, or contact sheet will do it as well, there is also a plugin for it called Qimage.

not sure about the epson 1800, but most of the lower end epsons come with photo quicken or something similar to print photos out. I have demoed that for quite a few people who have cheaper epsons and it just works.

you run it up, pick how many of each photo you want, pick the media ie a4, a3 gloss matt etc and then the layout. you insert the appropriate number of sheets of paper and away you go.

YES you can........ open a new page and divide it into the shapes you want and drop and resize your pix's to fit.......

to add more interest to your pix's add an ACTION to add a drop shadow for each image........

Dont know if this will help, but..
Waht size do you wan the final pics to be?? Say 5x7


Open all the pics in photoshop and resize to 5x7.((or whatever size)add boarders ect now)

Then with them all still open,

Go file ..new ..
then it will ask you for what you want in size . Prest drop box, Select A3.. OK

This will give you an A3 page, you can maake this whatever colour.

Then select the MOVE tool(V) ,
Click on each Pic and drg onto the A3 page, these will be added as a new layer for each pic. They can be moved into different positions via the layers tool bar.

To ensure they are straight there is a SNAP to tool under VEIW at the top.

Once you are happy you then can just flatten the image to one layer .

Print as usual cause now its one big A3 JPG/TIFf .

I am No expert just worked it out playing around. There is probaly a thousand different ways to do it.
