Well new to me anyhow.

Picked up a Nikkor AF 35-105mm f/3.5 Macro off Ebay for a few hundred bucks.

Mainly wanted it for the Macro capability but it might be nice for portraits too.

Anyone had any experience with one of these? Any good or have I wasted my money?

Got it because

1. It has macro capability

2. It is Nikon glass.

Hi Mark,
I bought one of those from ebay as well, but I only paid AU$49.50
I think I got it cheap and for that price it's ok, the macro is not 1:1. I don't think I would pay a couple of hundred though.

Slider,
Next time, pls. ask before you buy, I spotted one for AU$65.00 few days ago on eBay, instead of buying this lens, the Tamron 90mm/2.8 macro is excellent in macro and portrait shoot.
Nikkor 35-105/3.5 is not a good lens to have in your bag,

Thanks for the feedback guys.

You are right Birdy, I should have checked here first as the depth of knowledge is indeed immense.

Ah, well you live and learn. Hopefully I'll get a few decent shots out of it

I thought I had done OK pricewise as I have seen a few for a lot more money than I paid. BUT $49.50 Arrgghh..
