These are the last images taken in Brisbane on the weekend my tripod went missing. After my series with the Egrets I had to settle for patio shots of plants and the approaching storm in the distance. Comments always welcome.

Marco these are great, and I'm very sorry for your loss.

#1 is nice, but I think it could be better, I'd try some PP to make the "subject" flower stand out a little compared to the rest, as it sort of blends in too much with the background for me.

#2 is very cool, I like the "balance" in this shot, I don't know if you intentionally cropped the top of both flowers ? I would of like to have seen the tops of both but it's a minor issue overall the shot is great

#3 This is probably my favourite of the three, I like the three neatly silleottued trees, ascending in height, but personally what makes this shot for me is the clouds behind it, they came out really nice.

I agree with Craig on all of these shots Marco - the last shot is just stunning

You're right of course gentleman how's this look now.



Probably could have darkened the flower as well but I was just stuffing around with the new LS PJ on the flash. Notice no shadows. It's bloody brilliant!

As for this one, right again gentleman it would have been better to have had the points of the flowers, the tops were brown and tattered by bugs feeding. I suppose I could have fixed them in PS but again just practice for LS PJ. A little too much flash perhaps?

Thank you for the comments. Yeah I put this one last because I really liked it. The moment lasted about a couple of minutes and then GONE so I was fortunate to get what I got. I really liked the gradual height rise in the trees and how it matched the approaching storm. A bit of grey grad and waiting a few seconds for the right time the whisp of light over the middle tree. Perhaps a little more work in PS to heighten the tones etc.

Marco, its a big improvement and yes the LS PJ seems to be doing a great job! Knowing that the flowers and yucky tops makes sense why you cropped them both, your right though perhaps there is a smidgen too much flash in #2.
Sounds like #3 was a right place, right time Great stuff!

Love the last one, the dark dramatic sky and the silhouettes of the trees make for a very appealing image. Use of landscape rather than portrait adds to this one.

Very nice Marco. The 2nd version of the Purple Thingamy is brilliant.
