Frames... where to get cheap ones?Hi Guys. We're getting a few photos printed for xmas pressies and I'm wondering where you've found some cheap frames. I know places like Go-Lo have dodgy pictures but reasonable frames, anywhere else that you know of?
Also, most places have frames in sizes like 20 x 16 etc, rather than in the 2:3 ratio... are there many frames in sizes such as 18 x 12 or will I just have to settle with cropping my images? Cheers, Owen.
try and find a framer who is wholesale and have them custom made as a bulk buy......... or make them yourself and buy the glass or perspex to fit..........
Cheers ....bp....

I do this alot, find somewhere that sells uber cheap frames....throw away the frame, keep the glass and backing. Visit salvage yards and buy old fence posts, make your own frame, use glass and backing to finish. Polish wood with bees wax...frames look utterly awesome, similar things retail for waaaaaay more than either the cost of making them or the effort involved. I sell these to friends as a package and they always comment on how great it all looks. PS I also cut my own matts with a matt cutter.
PM me if you would like some more info.
Great idea!
