Excuse me! Who's Ken Rockwell? and who take Ken Rockwell?
His reviews has been written by him without any base or proofs of the items in his hand.

I'm afraid Ken Rockwell has a vivid imagination at times, I'd be inclined to wait untill a more in depth test is carried out by someone like Bjorn Rorslett.

I liked these two quotes on a lens Ken reckons is "a winner ... (and) works fabulously well on every Nikon digital SLR":

Even the distortion, usually a weak point on super zoom lenses, is easy to fix in Photoshop if you care.
and

Distortion is strong at some focal lengths mid-zoom as you'd expect, but the good news is it's well enough behaved for easy fixing in PhotoShop CS2.

SO according to Ken it doesn't matter what a lens does as long as you can fix it in Photoshop (if you can be bothered).

Puhleeze!

Exactly Peter! I wrote about a similar thing in my blog post here. I've never really taken anything Ken says as gospel, and it amazes me how many people think he's the "king dick" of all that is Nikon photography gear.
