What's the best way to correct CA and 'purple fringing' in PS CS?

I've heard of using hue/saturation and desaturating the magentas. Anyone had success with this method or any other method?

Adobe Camera Raw has a lens correction feature to correct this in the RAW file. I don't have PS on this PC, so I can't tell you the exact path, but it's on one of the tabs of ACR. If you can't find it, let me know and I'll look it up this evening for you...

Camera RAW is all good for nef's but what about jpgs?

I just picked up the latest 'better pictures' magazine from CH. There's an article in there about a 'One-step Purple Fringe Removal' in the new PSP X.

You can also correct CA from within PS itself. Look under Filters, Distort, Lens.

You cannot correct CA in PSCS with Filters Distort lens...........but you can in PSCS2...........so if you have PSCS an after market plug in like neat image is the way to go..........
