Who services Nikon lenses?

Hi all,
I've got a few older (but precious) lenses that I would like to treat to some TLC (mainly lubing, cleaning, tightening). One needs a bit of adjustment since it cannot quite focus at infinity anymore (not normally visible, but the AF sensor sees it).
I've read horror stories on the net where lenses came back from service with more dust in them than before, and even fingerprints and smudges on internal elements!
Can anyone recommend a Nikon lens service outlet that does quality work, preferrably (but not necessarily) in the Sydney area?

I'm wondering the same thing (but in Melbourne). I know of Camera Clinic here in Melbourne.
Isn't there an actual Nikon Service Centre somewhere in NSW?

Apart from the time delays, I was extremely satisfied with the level of service I received from Maxwell's sub-contracted service/repairers.
Camera Clinic in VIC carries out all of Nikon's servicing and repairs under contract; as does Andersens for QLD... NSW I'm not so sure. These days there should only be a handful of vendors that carry out lens repairs themselves, there would hardly be competitive demand for these services, so I'd suggest just take it to Maxwells for a quote.

Maxwell's in Sydney would be the obvious choice, but, many years ago, I've had satisfactory work performd by Whilton on Elizabeth St.

When I was picking up my body from Maxwell's today, there was a bloke that brought in his 300/4 for fungus removal. I overheard the convo, he was told the techies aren't prepared to take it apart for a quote - as it requires lengthy calibration in reassembly, he was given the option of refusal or go ahead on the spot - with the rates being roughly $100 per hour, in his case minimum 3-4 hours, likely 6-8...
Take from that what you will Steffen, hopefully in your case doesn't require stripping the lens apart but rather just light maintainence/servicing procedures.

Gee, I'd hate to lose my 300/f4 to fungus...
The lenses I want serviced are all rather small, I hope they're less complicated to take apart and put back together.
The Maxwell outlet you went to, is that the one off Parramatta Rd in Lidcombe?
