Has anyone had a look at MikeM website? He's one of our newest members and I think he has a really great portfolio, especially some of his black & white stuff.

I'm impressed by both the shots and the website.

I would love to have a website for my shots just like that.... anyone care to offer their services? Mike? :)

I just had a look. It's bloody fantastic! Awesome flash work on the site too. I usually don't like flash pages, but this one isn't in yer face or overdone.

Aaah, you folks are too kind, thanks, and I like it.....

Thanks for taking a look and the nice words. I've been browsing this wonderful site for the past few days, hesitant to post, as I thought maybe it was for Aussie folks, only. But, since my name was mentioned I'm jumping in.....

Anyway, for the site, I purchased a flash template from these folks below.... if you go into the "portfolio" section, and look for "Style 17" that's the one that was used as a base to eb modified from for me.

You can purchase the template (very inexpensive) from these folks, or have them modify an existing one, which I did (for #17), or they can build you a new one.
The #17 was $60.00 USD. But, after I had some extras added to it, sound effect and music on/off buttons, more galleries and pics in each gallery, the total one-time cost came to about $150.00 USD, which seems to really be a bargain. The woman that helped to modify the templete for me was extremely helpful, and knowledgeable, and seem to be very flexible (kept the $$ low) in add-on costs. This is her name at that company, Paula Hightower at Winklet Web Design, in case you want to follow up with her.

Thanks again for looking, and I and my D70 hope to partitipate in this site. :)

Mike,

Welcome. I've yet to look at your site, but if the others acclaim it, then I'm sure I will too.

Where in NC are you?

While we're mostly from Oz, there are a few members from Canada, CA, Singapore .... The Netherlands ... and we don't discriminate.

So enjoy.

Welcome MikeM - your site is fantastic - love the music, and of course, the photos.

Your photo’s show why Cary is rated America’s 5th safest city - very peaceful.

Cheers

Chris

Hmm... nice site. :)

Doesn't look like a complex build of Flash at all... (it's the developer in me speaking...)

Moreso, just lots of little bits to edit.

But good site.

And welcome. :)

Thanks again

Bird, Chris, Greg, Nnn, I'm honored to get such a nice welcome by you all.
Thank you!
Nnnn, actually, just a flash template I purchased, and had the person at the co. that sold it modify it for me.

I highly recommend them for any that want flash, although people have strong feelings for or against flash, there are very few in between..... http://www.winkletwebdesign.com/
