Is anyone strapless?

Currently I prefer strapless, the strap always gets in the way.

ps. On another thread I am looking at getting some good straps. So I can carry 2 cameras on me.

shutterbug,
Hire a woman as your assistance and do topless is better than strapless

I'm currently using the Optech D70users.com grip strap. I also have a Pro Loop (neck) strap, but find it kills my neck if I'm carrying my camera all day!

Serious ? The Pro Loop hurts your neck.. I've had mine less then a week but its a godsend (especially with the weight of the 80-200). But before that I spent all day, and sometime most of the night with it around my neck with the stand strap without much fuss. :) Maybe I just have a fat head and a thick neck!

I think maybe I'm just a wuss! :P I just find the grip strap so much more conevenient: as long as you're not using a lens that's too heavy, the camera just feels like an extension of your arm. :)

I like the hand grip too, just can't buy it at the moment.. it in someways seems more natural... but everyones different..

The other night at the night shoot, Genista Doug and I all carried out cameras and tripods different.

Doug had his legs extended but all centred, with the camera over his shoulder.
Genista for a while had her legs out and just walked it around (I think she might of changed later).
I was walking around with the tripod legs centred but the camera in my hand, and the finger on the shutter so I was prepared for a quick shot if it arose..

oh and Trent, you're a wuss! 8)

I find that this is optimal when I want to walk.

I think Craig means her tripod legs... ;) I do remember her being a little tangled when walking with the tripod until she figured it out. :)

Don't worry about Genista, she is learning fast and taking some great shots. :)

I've been using the whizz-bang neck strap (the D70users one) and think it's a god send, when I need to I just unclip it but sometimes the little bits left on the camera get in the way on portrait orientation stuff...

Couldn't stand the normal neck strap that came with the camera!

Strapless...No way...I want protection !!! :D :D

Just scored one of the d70users pro loop straps to ease the back pain. I hope its as good as the marketing spiel on the label "Weight Reduction System"....
