Er... Hi!
I just joined this forum and wouldn't you know it, within a very short while and even before my first post I get this PM:
(name withheld to protect the guilty! )
Your cr*pping me right? Not another AFL supporter like Essendon who came here yesterday??? Now it's one of those interstate clubs which is even worse than a Bombers supporter! Welcome aboard anyhow I guess and if you don't follow AFL, disregard this post.
Geez, what friendly lot you are!
Anyway... no offense taken. The internet has completely desensitized me over the years and most evenings I just sits in front of the computer in a drunken haze, comfortably numb.
Ok, ok... I made that bit up. I'm not *always* in front of the computer when I'm in that state.
But I digress...
This looks like a fairly friendly forum and, just for the record, my username does not reflect who I follow in the AFL.
In fact, oddly enough, I don't even follow the AFL, but will take pics of men chasing balls if provoked...
I just happen to live on the West Coast (Perth) of this large, dusty continent and my little (and I mean *really* little) photo "business" (if you can call it that) just happnes to be called West Coast Photography!
I've got Canon gear, so any Nikon (*cough*) users... feel free to abuse me about that. I usually respond to trolling, so give it a go.
Fanatical factional footy ramblings regarding my username however, shall be cheerfully ignored...
Cheers,
WestCoast

Welcome to the forums Westcoast! All are welcome here, any brands, or football codes (or otherwise). Hope you enjoy your stay! It is a funny coincedence that so many footy related aliases joined.

Not exactly true WC (now that is abbreviation that you hope DOESN'T stick). This has evolved from a Nikon forum but it rapidly becoming more ecumenical. Perhaps it is true that it is probably 80-90% Nikon now but I would guess that it will be more like 50-50 within a couple of years.
If I'm alone in a forest and my wife is not around to hear what I say, am I still wrong ??

Hmmm... I suspected something was a bit "dodgy" by the ever so slight bias toward Nikon here!
Not a problem though - once Nikon's camera technology finally catches up to Canon's, I'm sure we'll have a lot to talk about.

Haha, yeah, the Canon technology thing!
They release new cameras all the time with that "little bit" of new technology. Canon users need to purchase their next camera before the warranty has a chance to run out on their current camera to keep up with the great "new" technology!
Oh, how I wish Nikon did this and stopped producing that fully feature packed model all "in the one camera" and then left it current long enough so I didn't need to remortgage the house to buy the next model!
We Nikon users are getting ripped! hahaha

Welcome WC.
Yes, we started life as D70Users.com so there is a definite Nikon leaning. However, the Canon user numbers are growing steadily.
And we don't all follow football, even in Victoria! I'm just grateful there isn't a team called Greg B.

WestCoast,
Welcome on board!
I hope this is your very first posts on this forum, won't turn into a debate of Nikon vs Canon, and the policies on this forum is prohibited these related arguments.

G'day WestCoast
We do seem to be dominated by Nikon & AFL people, but I'll fly the flag for Canon & rugby league

I'm tempted to flame Digitor's post, always remember, there were some educated league players...(thinks hard)...yep, George Peponis is a doctor and so is Nathan Gibbs, that proves it!
Seriously Westcoast, I won't mention AFL, especially Leaping Leo's mark circa Oct '05.
And welcome to the forum!

Lumpy Leaping whowhatwherenow?!?!
Ok, ok... if you promise not to mention the AFL again, I too shall refrain from waffling on about the WAFL.
But it won't stop me from posting pics about it!
