Good or bad. I'm looking for a wide angle for my D70 and this looks like it would be a good fit. I'm planning to visit Yellowstone Park in the States within the next year and I'd like to get some really good photos.
Anybody use the Tokina 12-24 and what are you impressions?
Thanks for your help

I use it and am very happy with it...
There are numerous threads here on this subject detailing people's impressions and tests - search for Tokina and you should find them.

I have one and have been really happy with it.
a few things to consider though:
Number 1: You need to get a thin CPL to not get vinigetting, those things cost in the range of 200 - 300 that being said if you get the CPL you still are saving money on the nikon version of this lens.
Number 2: the focus ring is a little strange if you want to manual focus you pull the focus ring so it disengages a gear (i am guessing) if you have the camera at your eye and want to swap from AF to MF then it takes some getting used to.
When it comes down to it if you are looking for a sharp wide angle that is reletively distortion free for half the price of the Nikon then this is a great package.

Yeah, that is going to be my wideangle lens of choice.
It's a very good lens with sharpness and little distortion, great little thang!

Also have a look at the Sigma 10-20mm, same price or a little cheaper, has HSM and an extra 2mm wider.
Hopefully getting mine tomorrow
