I was just looking through some old posts on a search and found one by SocalSteve. It seems he made exactly 500 posts and fell of the forum. Anyone know what has happened to him? He used to be very active and I enjoyed his posts. :?: :?:

I was just thinking the same thing about Kipper.

Haven't seen him or any images in ages.

I'm wondering if needed to be prefaced with "and the coloured girls sing" ?

Way back ... my first trip to LA, in fact, (before Sycamore #1 came to pass) we were in Santa Monica and saw an MGB, top down, licence plate "LOU REED"

Perhaps Kipper is getting such amazing images with the 500mm that he doesn't want us to see them... and copy his great lens choice

I've seen him at NSN: http://www.naturescapes.net, he's been in the Australasian section and the bird section.

He seems to be making pretty good use of that 500mm of his.

Cheers,

André

Sorry - off topic for a second...
Years ago in my previous life as a Customs Officer we had a bloke arrive at Brisbane airport and we were all clamouring to search him - he looked like he had just shot up that morning and may as well have had a flashing neon sign on him saying "PICK ME".

All was forgiven when we realised it was Lou Reed and, like Keith Richards, he had a perfectly reasonable excuse for looking like that! We said gidday and left it at that.
(My apologies Lou and Keith if you're reading this but, hey, you know what I mean!)

Regarding the whereabouts of Kipper, he sent me a PM tonight saying he hadn't been on forum for a while and was enjoying being out in the field taking waterbird shots and away from computer.

Cheers
