WHAT THE Mk11 ??????

Postby Dug on Thu Feb 02, 2006 12:00 am

OK a bedtime tale boys and girls believe it or not as you please.

It is scary so be warned.

I work .... turn up ... at a camera shop a few days a week.

SO today I was minding my own business when a young woman approached me with a quizzical look and asked if we had any SLR cameras.

I replied in the affirmative and asked "Film or Digital?"

The conversation proceeded along the normal lines untill she mentioned she had been sent from a nearby camera retailer A large American franchise recently sold yet again and whose Yellow and Red logo shall remain nameless.

She had entered said Red and Yellow camera shop and asked the same question IE:

"Do you have any SLR cameras?"

and had received the reply........

"No, we don't stock SLR brand cameras"

What's the company?

Either McDonalds (who shouldn't sell cameras or "food" for that matter) or Kodak (which aren't really a camera shop) are all I can work out.

Mc Donalds don't sell foor, er, sorry, didn't see the "quotes".

It would be fun to ask the person which store and what the person looked like, then go there and give it a go, could be fun. Maybe then ask for the manager and see if they know :P
There's hope for all of us to get work of some form in the photographic industry. Ya gotta laugh. 8)

Hint: the name starts with a K and ends with a K that is all I am saying.

They do have a franchised camera shop thing and sell a wide variety of makes and models.

Re McDonalds "Food" why would you go to McDonalds for healthy food? If I go to Maccas I want fat, grease, carbohydrates and SUGAR and nothing else :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

No Kodak store has sold cameras in living memory. Sorry.

They sell film, they attempt to make prints ... they take up valuable floor space that might be otherwise occupied by something useful, like, say, a library card exchange repository.

But no, selling cameras hasn't been done in living memory.

Kodak stores sell cameras.

Bad PHD's.

But they're cameras.

Well, in a manner of speaking, anyway.

My 1920 Kodak works as a camera better than a current Kodak image-recording-device.

Kodaks... I still have my CX7300 digital camera, which is a 3.1Mp non-zoomable thing that is more of a disposable camera. It works ok I guess but as mentioned, Kodak-now doesn't equal to Kodak-before.
