Does the VR function make any difference (reduction) to mirror vibration?

(For example, when taking moon shots) :)

I'll answer this question later tonight once I use my new VR lens :)

It is in Australia, just waiting for it to clear customs... Ok enough bragging :)

Steve,

Interesting question.

Nikon advise that the VR functionality should be turned off when one is shooting from a tripod. Given that your moon shots would, I expect, be shot with the camera mounted on a tripod, I guess the answer should be no, it would have no effect.

That won't take long. :)

Should be in your hands before afternoon tea, if FedUps does its job properly.

Play nicely.

Hmmm the fedex website says "Regulatory agency clearance delay"

Does this mean I am going to have to pay GST on the items???

If so can you pay today and still have the items delivered today?

I suspect that's code for "waiting for customs clearance".

I'd expect that if there is an issue, they'll call you and you can settle any extra on your CC, but at this time I wouldn't be getting overly concerned.

Not to sure about that as I think the previous entry is the "waiting for clearance" entry (from the fedex wbsite):

------------------

Dec 17, 2004
10:55 AM

Shipment exception ALEXANDRIA AU

Regulatory agency clearance delay

10:18 AM

In transit ALEXANDRIA AU

Package available for clearance

-----------

Not to worried if I have to pay the GST (still a good deal) just want to get it today :)
