My dad was saying that Sydney had some spectacular storm cloud formations on TV.

Did any of our Sydney members tear themselves away from sensor cleaning duties or lens comparison tests ar Birdies place or payment of GST to customs processes, to get a photo or two of these clouds?

What day was this?

We did have a massive hailstorm pass through our place yesterday. I was too busy rescuing my pets to bother photographing it. It was big too - golfball sized chunks of hail, massively loud hitting our iron roof. Lasted no more than 20 mins.

I posted this notice right after speaking to him on the phone yesterday evening.

The cloud images you have captured there are what is called Mammatus.
You will see this type of cloud before or after a servere weather event & with a sunset behind them, can make for an awesome image.
