Is this how you can produce an image shot at 1/16000th sec?

Shoot at 1/8000th sec...make a print and cut it in half with a pair of scissors. (Only works with mechanical shutters).

(An idle mind desperate for innovation)

Not True, will only work with mechanical shutters if you use mechanical scissors but if you use electrical cutters it will also work with electronic shutters.

By the way Matt, your Avatar has gone missing.

And if you shine a light at that cut-in-half print, you now have flash sync at 1/16000th. :)
