Another French's law.

I've found this and it's interesting in Copyright Law in France:

Q :
Is the publishing of a photo of the Eiffel Tower permitted?
A :
There are no restrictions on publishing a picture of the Tower by day. Photos taken at night when the lights are aglow are subjected to copyright laws, and fees for the right to publish must be paid to the SNTE.

So taking photo of the Eiffel Tower by day is OK to publish but not at night when the tower with the lights on :roll:

The french are unusual, maybe it is to pay for the electricity?

i think it has more to do the light sequence was conceived and directed by a famous french artist he maintains rights over it i guess.

it does look prettier at night
