whole lot of shaking

Yes, if you have a 30mm f/1.4 Sigma dig it out and give it a shake.
Does it rattle? Mine seems to have developed quite a heavy rattle, whatever is attached to the rear lens element inside the lens seems to be loose and rattles a disturbing amount when shaken lightly, I'm sure it didnt do that a week or 2 ago. I can restrain the innards of it by lightly pressing sideways on the rear element mounting with a fingernail and stop the rattle.
The lens still seems to function perfectly well, but the looseness worries me

I'm not sure with this lens but some lens had a laminated rear element which could separate. Either way I would get it checked out. :wink:
