International Society of Photography

Has any one else recieved an email saying that they've been specially chosen to join the International Society of Photography for a mere fee of $65 USD (or so) which entitles them to attend a conference once a year in Vegas with the opportunity to win BIG PRIZES!!! ?

I detect a scam!

Never heard of the guys.

Attending the conference may be free, but getting to Las Vegas may cost you a bob or two.

This site is free and there are regular meets, so you know where I'm putting my money. :wink:

Definitely a scam IMHO. Check out this thread on betterphoto.com which dates back to 2004 (and PS Google is your friend™ - I got this link at the top of my search)

Yeah - that looks like it. I'm mostly concerned about how they got my email address, though - the only place that i've posted photos is on flickr and here...

They probably leeched it from there, as well as many other photography websites. It's defiantely a scam as they have my email too.
