Help! Strange Error Using D70s

Postby macka on Sun Mar 26, 2006 9:07 pm

Hi All,

I took the following two pictures yesterday morning. I did not change any settings between them and this is what I got, straight from the camera:

 What's going on here? Should I be worried? :? This is the only time it has happened.

Also, a completely seperate issue, I have experienced some strange ghosting when looking through the viewfinder at high contrast images (ie. when looking through a bright window frame from a darkish room). Basically a ghost of the bright light appears over the window frame. This does not show up on the images, but only occurs when looking through the viewfinder. Is this possibly a mirror problem, or is it nothing to worry about? Has anyone else experienced this?

The camera is still within warranty..is it worth taking it in? I don't want to be without a camera for weeks if I can help it.

Appreciate your expertise...

If it happens again I would be worried, but as yet has not to me.

Glen,

I'm glad you didn't apply any PP to this. It's nice to see what the truth really looks like. ;)
