Lightning trigger.

I am seriously tempted to purchase one of these does anyone have any experience or cheaper alternatives for lightning photography?

I had a slave built for my F4 but it does not seem to like working on the D70s

Looks like you finally got the link working Doug... impressive if it works.. I like the idea of being able to do lightning photography at night without blowing out highlights from lights.. especially if your trying to capture a storm over a city.. especially when running 5-10-15 second exposures or possibly longer

one of my mates got struck by lightning a few weeks ago

He came home from fishing and put his boat (A tinny) in his yard.

the storm passed and he went to take the bungs out to drain the rain water.

Clear sky storm a few KM away blue flash and he woke up a few meters from the boat with melted thongs.

He was ok for a while but intense pain set in as his red blood cells died the iron in the blood was affected by the electric shock.

He is getting better but he was not in a good way.

If you are photographing lightning BE CAREFUL! DON'T TAKE RISKS!!!
