Welcome to the forum Christian,
You right there are lots of great people here, and I'm sure you'll fit in fine. I notice you signature suggests your considering going digital, or atleast complementing your f5. I'm sure you'll find you get gain plenty of useful information and advice in this regard, and once you are a member you also have access to some attractive deals.
Welcome again, and I look forward to you posting some photos when you get the chance.
Cheers,
Craig

Hi Christian,
I seem to have inherited a film Olympus SLR camera and am toying with the idea of using both film and digital.... I am soo used to seeing the image/histogram after taking a photo that I wonder if I will be able to manage the suspense (till I process) with film camera...
Welcome to the Forrum.
Cheers

Welcome Christian,
I'm sure you'll find a couple of other members here exclusively shoot film as well. There's also the
Film and Non-digital Imaging section of the forum for the film lovers amongst us as well.

Hello Christian,
Welcome to the forum. We would love to see some photos you have taken with your f5. Do you have a scanner? South Africa would have been a fantastic place to photograph.
Cheers,
Lee

Hi Christian and welcome
I am also new to the site. Probably just over a week now I think. It's a great place to spend your time if you are supposed to be home laying down because of 2 prolapsed disks in your back and the specialist can't fit you in for another 2 months to approve the opperation
. Mind you, it's a great place to spend your time no matter what ever it is you are supposed to be doing. Isn't the internerd a great place to procrastinate
I shoot alot of Medium Formatt stuff but until reading that post from daniel_r I had no idea there was a section for the film lovers. I'll post some stuff if you do

Welcome to the forum. I too still use film but not exclusively as i mostly shoot digital. Film still has advantages over digital, except ease of use, cost, image review etc............

Keep that F5 and use it to compliment your digital when you get one.
IMHO - I have learnt much from digital shooting and applied more technique to my film.
I bought a brand new manual focus film camera recently.

hi guys..uuhmm girls??
thank you all for the welcome
just to answer a few questions:
im staying in a place where printing quality is very rare( sometimes printing is good sometimes not to good) so if i need to have something printed it has to be send to perth and back( more costs)
yes it was great to work in south africa, the elections, the animals, the people, fantastic. now the crime rate is not too good and life is very cheap.
as a matter of interest olympus...woooww. i have two mju as a back up cameras. once a newspaper used one the shots taken with the mju in their front page!! f2.8 lens!!
no i do not have a scanner, was looking for one, but now im thinking in not getting it and just buying a digital camera.
thanks once againg for the welcome, much appreciated
