This is an interesting way to look at the cost of an Epson2400 and an Espon4800......... I know which one I would buy.......

Yes, it's the 4800, but how often do you print, is another question for yourself + initial cost. Prices quoted are in US$ and in the USofA.
All depends of what level of photography and printing that you're doing also.
