It has to be asked, does anyone have any specific new years resolutions? Mine are to become a better photographer with my D70 and HOPEFULLY some time down the track to aquire a backup D70 body, followed closely by the 24-120VR lens. :) I hope everyone has a very safe, happy and healthy 2005!

Ah yes, it's that time of the year again. While I'm not usually one to make resolutions, as I never remember them let alone keep them, I learnt on NYE 1998 to never underestimate the power of prayer. That year brought me phenomenal changes, and I wasn't even religious then... so I'm hoping my prayers will be answered this coming year too.

1) To be a multi-millionaire.
2) To get married (I had a dream during my teenage years to be married before I was 25, and my 25th bday is coming this year) ;)
3) To ensure I make an impact or impression on more people's lives this year than I have in the last.

First two are really out there, but ya never know... :D

Edit: change my avatar - it seems I regularly change my sig, but that avatar is long overdue for change. :)

Also, a reminder for all those who place a copyright notice in the image comment field of EXIF, to update the date to 2005.

I made a New Year's Resolution several years ago that I wouldn't make any more New Year's Resolutions.

That was the first New Year's Resolution I have ever managed to keep.

Hmmmmm..............let me think!

Lose 5kg to get back under 90kg.......easier said than done esp now I'm a stay-at-home-dad.

Start playing my bass guitar again and get back into a band.

Transfer my huge vinyl collection onto CD......again easier said than done!

Do more bushwalking and camping trips (with the D70).

Organise a holiday to the Pacific for next Xmas. Tahiti, Samoa, Hawaii???

Learn to swim properly.

Master my D70 and various lenses. Clean my sensor. Get my head around Photoshop. Master panoramas.

Get together with you guys for a 'meet' sometime.

Acquire at a steady rate over the next 12 months the following:

24-120VR (ordered with Birdy)

Sigma 12-24 (Feb/March)

Nikon 85mm 1.8 (May)

Nikon 80-400VR (July/August)

Nikon 10.5mm Fisheye (December)

That's enough to occupy my time I believe! :D

Spend less time on this forum because it tends to get me into trouble.
Oh well so much for the resolution, I've already broken it.

As for Birddog's $19.00 one way fare, he forgot to tell you that it will cost you another $1000 to come back :P

Darn it Matt :D

I thort the lens was big but it is the man who is little. He is kind of indecently hugging the lens though.

Could this be the lens lust that is so often spoken about on this forum?

Anyway, the lens wouldn't fit on my $19.95 Aldi tripod which I didn't buy also.

Have a good day everyone! Now where's my sanity pills?
