I was wondering if anyone has had experience with these two filters?

I know what a CPL does but can anyone tell me what the advantages would be in each filter and what bearing it would have on the final image quality? Just trying to justify the extra $ i guess  .

I'd be using it for aerial shots of coastal areas and waterways.

Thanks in advance! :)

Simplest and quickest answer... the thinner one will reduce the possibility of vignetting at wide angle... there may be other differences such as quality of glass etc but on that I can't comment.

Suggest you also consider a 77mm version as this will provide greater reuse across your lens collection... just add step up rings where required.

The thinner one has more coatings and as a result should be better.

The green version of the hoya filters are the bottom of their range.

I've bought Kenko filters and found the to be ok. Not fantastic but ok (standard version though)
