A zoomable fisheye is certainly an interesting idea :)

Fisheye with zoomable is not my taste, I prefer FE in prime instead of.

That's what I thought too, especially if full frame cameras aren't coming soon, I'm sure people would want to replicate FF focal lengths on cropped cameras. 12-24, 17/18-50, 50-135 in place of 17-35, 24-70, 70-200.

Birdy, I'm not sure it would work well either, but it's certainly an interesting idea, definitely worth a try :)

pentax have a 10-17 fisheye zoom and from all accounts its pretty crisp.

actually i think they also had a fisheye zoom out many many years ago [something like a 17-28 i think ??]
