Exposure plot software (freeware)

Postby xerubus on Mon May 22, 2006 6:34 pm

Great little tool found after reading info about it on brisbanephotography. the tool can read all of your photo exif info and generate charts based on iso, shutter, lens length, etc. Only works on jpg images, so the plots may not be completely accurate depending on how you sort your files.

Very useful for plotting focal lengths you use the most of to perhaps help with your lens purchase choices.

here's a plot gathered from some of my recent jpg images. I was extremely surprised to see that the 40mm mark is my most used range.

hope someone else finds this useful.

cheers

Even without using it, I have a feeling that the majority of my images will be at 45mm.

It's a great idea...

but it tells me I've taken photos with a focal length of 3020mm I don't think I'd be able to support a lens of that length on my tripod!!

Paul

EDIT: Just worked out why... The '35mm equiv' had the wrong settings in it... It works well now :)

Thanks for that Mark.
From my graphs I've worked out that what I really need is a VR lens since I seem to take the majority of photos at 1/60th sec at 150mm
