Stereo images

I shot this guy yesterday using 2 Sony cameras to shoot stereo pairs. Whilst this would work it's a bit crude, the cameras would be better fixed to a bracket of some sort. I don't know how he views them as he didn't seem to want to speak to me, (maybe no English), or maybe becaue he had a Canon camera around his neck.
I have shot stereo pairs using a single camera from a tripod and viewed them using a stereo viewer....the results are excellent and the detail staggering. 2 X 6MP images equals 12MP of detail.

interesting. Would have thought a little more seperation between the cameras beneficial. How did you combine you images Matt?

Seperation only needs to be about the distance between your eyes...more seperation causes an increase in apparent depth...good for aerial photography recon stuff.
I printed the images out at about 5" x 7" and placed the pair under a stereo viewer.

Matt, maybe the reason he didn't speak to you is you had your camo gear on from your avatar?
