I have done a search under EXIF, but couldnt find an answer, so forgive me if this has been covered before. How do you keep the EXIF info when converting and resizing imaages for posting to PixSpot, so that it appears under infomation.?

Regards
Meic

What image editor are you using?
I have PS7 and it preserves a portion of the EXIF (the important shooting data especially). Certain programs like Neat Image destroys it all too.

Also, check out the links section on how to "fix" the ISO issue - to get the ISO to display in its proper place in EXIF instead of just readable by Nikon software.

Hi Meicw

Further to Onyx's response, I could be wrong, but I don't think there's anything you can actually do to preserve the information. Some programs destroy it and others don't. You either ensure you only use programs that will not destroy the data (such as Nikon Capture, any of the Adobe Programs), or take an unnecessary image and try it in any new software so it doesn't matter if the info is lost.

I'm not sure if this is the help you are after, but what I have done with images that I have lost the exif data on is used the Exifer program. http://www.exifer.friedemann.info/

I just capture the exif data off the original image and apply it to the final worked image (remembering to always work on a copy of the image cause my editing skills are pathetic).

Also remember that ”save for web” in PS will destroy EXIF data
