And before the moderators get upset, I have searched, but problem is too many opinions for me, so I'd like to take a fresh response....

I'm off to Europe on Saturday, so been doing some housekeeping on the camera (you know, dust it, buy expensive lense, look at new case, 8Gb flash card from Birddog, give it a bit of polish...)..mmmmmm.. 8Gb flash.... 1,447 photos on D70/RAW...

Noticed some artefacts at high aperture - dust specs, invisible to the naked eye. Tried cleaning sensor with lense tissue, now getting very small fibre threads. Spit doesn't work.

I want a 'wet' cleaning solution - what is your recommendation? Where would I order for delivery within 2-3 days.

Never seen anyone dares to use this way

A Giotto Air Rocket is a handy tool and keep you out of wet clean.

Spit didn't work? Please tell me you didn't spit on your sensor!!

Have you tried holding the camera upsidedown and giving it a good going over with a blower? (any brush removed!!). The rocket blower people talk about on this forum is the best I've ever tried.

After that I think the 'copperhill' method (search on Google should find it) is highly regarded for a wet clean.

As for getting something delivered in two days. Not sure I can help you there.

There are 3 places you can get wet cleaning material from, (pec pads and eclipse), Birdy at a minimeet, Nulab in Melbourne and some place called Camera............ You will have to do a search to find the name as they are the only ones likely to get in 2-3 days.

this is for the "Copper Hill Sensor Swipe 14mm Kit", at $62, phew. I'll call 'em tomorrow. If this includes postage I'm sold 'cos nulab charges $20 for postage.

hmmm the toys are cheap (after you justify em to yourself) but the maintenance is expensive, but more so if you don't do it!

Wet clean as mentioned is an alternative method.
Try blow the sensor with the Giotto first.

An air rocket from Birdy is the way to go. I've just got back from Perth and halfway through the holiday realised I had dust bunnies on the sensor. Out came the rocket and within seconds no more bunnies. Worth it's weight in gold.

The images at quality camera do show up for me, they don't do anything for me...

Make sure it's a Giotto Air rocket otherwise you're just wasting your doug.

I don't recommend the copper hill cleaners. They won't remove dust that is stuck on the sensor...only a wet clean will do that. For all other dust the Giotto is safer, easier and very effective.

I don't know and see what size is it?
get the bigger size if they have (170ml).

Justin, Maxwell's will do a free sensor clean for you if you haven't had one yet, even if out of warranty, as long as your d70 is Maxwell distributed stock. Took about 30 minutes to do my d70 when I was in Sydney last. That may be an option for you.
