Lens Distance InformationHi there,
Is there any way to find the distance information that Nikon 'D' lenses pass on to the cameras (in the EXIF or similar)? I know that when using zooms it wouldn't be that accurate... but on prime lenses is there any way to find out how far away the focal distance was when taking the photo? I hope that makes sence. Living in poverty due to my addiction to NIKON... Is there a clinic that can help me?
On my images it always seems to say something like "Gary is too close to the lens for this to be a good image".

Paul,
exiftool has that info for you. Probably other exif programs also. If you search for exiftool you will see other tools as well http://www.dslrusers.net/viewtopic.php? ... ool#187380 I use exiftool and I reports the focus distance if the lens supplies it.
