Anti-shake sensors meet IS lenses

So it seems there are two camps - Nikon and Canon with image stabilised lenses; and Konica-Minolta with anti-shake sensors.

Does anyone think that Nikon and Canon will ever invest in anti-shake sensors ... and whether that would combine with IS lenses effectively

Pentax also has in camera antishake sensor in its K100D.
good bit is you can use 30+ years of lenses on it.

would be interesting to see what would happen with IS lens and IS body

I hope they will! But I guess it depends on how anti-shake sensors would affect the sale of their IS/ VR lenses. Personnally, it's exactly the sort of innovation (with some anti- dust technology) I'd like to see on a Nikon DSLR body rather than always more megapixels, frames per second, etc.

I am no engineer, but wont two IS/VR system be counter productive since both have to move in sync to get a clear image.
