We have been attacked.

Thursday night this prick got a pissed or drugged up mate and came over kicking and punching our front door, smashed the front window near the door and tried to enter the house screaming will will kill you and your kids and burn your house down if you have called the cops.

My wife was in the back room hiding with our screaming kids ringing 000 I caught the whole thing on video and armed with a huge kitchen knife ready to kill these pricks if they entered my house.

I don't know what stopped the bastards from really throwing themselves through the glass.

I will keep this brief as I can't explain everything now.

I drove off before the cops came which bloody took 1/2 hour we could have been killed. The cops arrived and stayed with us till we packed enough things to escape, clothes, photo's ( camera gear ) and got them to escort us out of the bloody suberb.

Thank god we have a friend that is house sitting on the other side of melbourne, we felt safe finally but my father in law took a turn and I had to take him to hospital, I got back to our safe house at 5 am totally exhausted and very emotional.

We have had the prick and his prick mate charged, and intervention order is happening 11am Monday and we are never going back to the hell hole.

We now have to find somewhere to live short time to rent for awhile till the house sells and everything settles down.

Thank god we are alive, we have never been through this mush scarey shit in our lives.

I will get back to you all soon.

Thanks for listening guys.

Mic. ( In Hiding )

Terrible news. I very much hope your in-law makes a full recovery now you're all safe.

That's truly pathetic that it took 1/2 an hour for the police to arrive. I was in a shop that was held up once, they got there in under 5 minutes. Hopefully they do a better job with pressing charges on this psychopath.

You're safe now, hopefully in a few weeks/months you will be able to put this all behind you.

Shocking!!! Good luck Mic... At least you and your family are safe. Hope that your F-I-L recovers and that the mongrels get everything that they deserve.
You wouldn't need an intervention order if the guys get what they deserve and get chucked in the slammer...

Sorry to hear that Mic,
Chances are that as they physically did not hurt anybody nothing will happen to them. Even if they did, still very little would happen. That is where the system lets the community down  .

sorry to hear this,

the sad thing though is that this lowlife will probably claim that he was disadvantaged as a child and some politically correct councillor will blame society and he will get away with it.

sucks.

I don't know if this would work here but in South Africa they have a sure fire way of getting the cops out quick..they tell them the perp(s) has a gun. Cars, choppers, tanks in 2 minutes flat! Otherwise you're lucky if they turn up the same day!!!

Jokes aside..I honestly can't comprehend the terror you and your family has been through. I convinced my girlfriend to move here from South Africa (got her permanent residency yesterday!) because it's so much safer........

Hope all goes well for you from now on.

I hope your family are all okay. Glad no one was injured.

Cheers,

Sorry to hear about all this drama Mic,, hopefully now your safe, a good tip I found out many years ago, after having trouble with a neighbours ex b.friend, if you call the cops, mention that the attacked said he had a GUN, it made all the diffrence in the world to the time it took to get them out, seems like GUN is the key word,, even if attacker dont have one, its your word against his, that he didnt say I am gonna shoot you all,

Jobs like this are generally prioritised by Police and attended to asap.

There is nothing more frustrating than trying to get to this sort of incident, and either being caught at another job you can't get away from, or being stuck in traffic, out on a foot patrol etc etc.

30 minutes is to long to wait when your being attacked, being Melbourne you'd like to think that there would be heaps of Police spare.

What a terrifying, terrible story.

I'm sure the whole forum hopes that the ordeal is now over for you and your family and you can get back to some sort of normality.

No-one should have to put up with this sort of crap. Hope the idiot gets some jail time and gets a few violent neighbours of his own in the joint.

Bloody hell mic, scary stuff. Absolute scum of the earth to be threatening your family like that, I guess you can count yourself very fortunate that he didn't get in!

I know I'm in Sydney, but it goes without saying if there is anything I can do to help you and your family in any way then just give a yell and I'll be on the next plane down!

Mic glad to hear you are all ok and out of the place, we all take for granted these things and see it on the news all the time but we often dont think this could happen to us, but well it is hard and that you can not be safe in our own homes now days. All the best and hope all goes well in finding somewhere to live in peace and not fear.
Cheers
John

Front page of the Sunday Mail in QLD today is a story claiming that 1 in 5 QLDer's has moved house because of trouble with neighbours. I suspect that there is a little media hype involved with that figure but neighbourhood disputes are certainly on the rise.

Glad that your family is safe, in years to come you will look back at this deal as one of the more interesting times in your life. Thankfully the nasty bits fade much more quickly than the happy and exciting bits.

Just as an aside, if the criminal case is succesful there may be case for civil compensation for the move. No idea, I am no lawyer, but he does have a house to seize

Yes , Glen might be right , get a good lawyer and ask ( first question free ) that all the cost including moving cost and the loss result of the sale of the house, the rent..., the lawyer will tell straight away that is possible or not. Sorry to hear about your case.

Crikey

That's a terrible thing to happen mic. There's a psychological side of it too, keep an eye on your wife and kids for a while and ensure you are there for them.

Money is not important in these instances.

Hope the prick gets the book thrown at him.

Really sorry to hear of this harrowing experience Mic.

Please make sure that, once you've all calmed down, you take andvantage of any counselling the poice or other groups may offer for you and your family - ESPECIALLY THE CHILDREN. If counselling is not offered, seek it out and get some - it's vital for the recovery process.
