Well done Germany, the goalkeeper did a great job in the penalty shoot-out... But if you end up playing Italy in the semis, just watch out for those slippery Italian players! :shock: :roll: That would be a great game anyway!

I thought we lost to Italy? :twisted: Tough game, at least it opened up after Argentina scored! My other half will be most pleased, more perving at cute Germans. :roll: :lol: Congrats to Germany!

Man, we so should of beaten Italy. Look at this thrashing they've just given the Ukraine. Man if we'd beaten Italy it would of been plane (plain?) sailing to the semis.

And "should have", not "should of". :)

Congrats to the German and the Italian teams. Yes, I think that had some form of justice prevailed, we might have been seeing an Australia vs Germany quarter final.

But wasn't the start of the Germany/Argentine game ugly?

Don't know about the start but the end showed why soccer struggles to get a foot hold here .
