To ask or to search

This past week I have had three burning questions.....
1. VR lenses
2. Low Light techniques
3. Photo book publications
Having been a member of this fine forum for 16 months now I have seen many questions posted again and again.
Having just completed a search on book publications I have unearthed a discussion from last year that has just saved me possibly hundreds of dollars. Had I posted my initial question as a new thread it may have gone unanswered.
So what is the point of this babbling? Well I suppose what I am saying is to all new comers and even those old hands, go for a search as this place has not only become a great place to chat, but it also has become a wealth of knowledge that might just save you a few hundred bucks (aside from the Birddog bargains!)

Couldn't agree more Mal. While asking again can be OK sometimes it takes time to get a cross section of answers - something which is already there in the searchable results. It's not a perfect system of course and you need to get the hang of searching (such as using AND between words to narrow the search), but it's always my first port of call.
